Allan will talk about how the development of Arch Linux is organised and his role in maintaining the distribution. He will also discuss the role Arch Linux plays in the Linux ecosystem.
By day Allan McRae is a mild-mannered statistical geneticist working in Brisbane, Australia. However, for the last five years he has been moonlighting as a developer for the Arch Linux distribution. His current roles include maintaining the toolchain packages and developing the "pacman" package manager.
